Through the use of case studies which illustrate key concepts for incident prevention in a research environment, combined with use of the What-If Haz-Op hazard review technique, participants can gain an indepth knowledge of their process.  In addition, "infrastructure" derived from this process, such as drawings and knowledge of error traps can better prepare for management of change as personnel change over time or experimental changes occur.
