Nanoparticles from single molecules are a topic of growing interest due to the predicted stability associated with their covalent character.  In the context of drug delivery, they are thought to be more stable than multimolecular assemblies, which makes them particularly attractive against dilution in the bloodstream.  However, there is little work showing the encapuslation ability of these molecular constructs.  Here, we examine the role of solute type and processing conditions on nanoparticles from single molecular brushes and compare loading and release kinetics with multimolecular assemblies.
