We report that phosphinoamide-scaffolded palladium-titanium heterobimetallic complexes catalyze the intramolecular oxidative heck-type coupling reaction to generate pyrrolidine and piperidine heterocycles. The reaction proceeds under mild conditions and enables couplings with aliphatic hindered secondary amine nucleophiles for the first time. The desired amine products are isolated in high yield when copper chloride is used as the terminal oxidant.
