With a degree in chemistry or biochemistry a student has many available paths to take towards gainful employment. Two of these available paths are the food and the pharmaceutical industries. Both of these industries allow for significant growth in either research or quality control positions due to our current growing global population. For the pharmaceutical industry quality pharmaceutical products will be a necessity to our global society providing many available career paths to a student graduating with a chemical degree now and in the future.   For the food industry the large global population will require a significant food industry infrastructure to ensure the quality and the nutritional value of the foods being consumed. This growth will result in many previously unrecognized career paths for undergraduate students on the road to employment.
