The NGSS challenge students to analyze problems and create solutions. Green chemistry captivates and engages students by focusing on the solutions to environmental challenges. Green chemistry practices and principles provide a framework and lens for learning, teaching and investigating chemistry concepts with 21<sup>st</sup> century STEM problem solving skills.<br/> <br/>Investigate and explore new innovative green chemistry technologies that align with NGSS and core chemistry concepts. Are mushrooms the new plastic? What does the surface chemistry of shark scales have to do with bacteria? How can we create safer pigments and dyes? Learn the answers to these questions and more.  Beyond Benign is a non-profit dedicated to green chemistry education that collaborates with teams of scientists and teachers to create interactive, relevant and accessible curriculum resources for K-12 educators.
