The mission of The Evergreen State College's Chemistry and Other Sciences (ChaOS) club is to make chemistry an exciting and accessible subject for all in our local community. We annually host Washington State's largest science carnival during the spring. This event features the projects and ideas of Evergreen's science students in the forms of workshops, demonstrations, and lectures. This year the Carnival celebrates its 13th year. We also attend local science symposia and participate in the activities of the Puget Sound section of the ACS. We coordinate regular study groups and journal clubs, generating a community of science students across disciplines. It is our goal to prepare Evergreen's students for their future after college while engendering a lifelong love of science.
