Over the past three decades years, a vibrant, active and dedicated community of educators has grown up around the idea that putting students at the center of the educational process and helping them develop the tools that they need to become insightful lifelong learners are important aspects of effective education.  Along with several other prior and contemporaneous efforts, The POGIL Project has played an important role in developing, nurturing and supporting this community. We will look at some of the past accomplishments of The POGIL Project in terms of outcomes for both students and instructors, and we will look at where The POGIL Project is now and where it is heading.<br/>
