The Loras American Chemical Society Student Chapter hosted the second annual Loras College Chemistry Carnival. Over 500 middle to elementary aged children and their parents learned about chemistry with over a dozen hands on activities and demonstrations. In addition to the chemistry carnival, the ACS student chapter hosted their forth annual Chemistry Olympics – an event where high school students participate in various chemistry competitions, such as titration races and chemistry jeopardy. Finally, other activities of the student chapter, such as mole day celebrations and guest speakers, are presented.
