Incorporation of fluorine atom into a certain position of an organic compound remarkably improves its drug-like properties. Fluorine-containing compounds are important targets in organic synthesis due their unique physical and biological properties. Development of selective methods for direct incorporation of a fluorine atom has become a significant tool in organic synthesis. Here'in, we describe a regioselective electrolytic fluorination of quinolines using HF-pyridine reagent.
