High-pressure H2 production over the 35 MPa or 70 MPa is one of the important technologies for FCV, etc. To achieve this, we investigated dehydration of formic acid to produce high-pressure gas using the Iridium (Ir) complexes.<sup>1)</sup> We successfully obtained the high-pressure gas over 100 MPa without any compressing, and can also separate the generated gas into 85% H2 gas under the high-pressure conditions.
