Electron attachment to closed-shell neutral molecules proceeds via the electron capture by anionic resonances. These resonances can also be accessed by photoexcitation from the corresponding radical anion. Photoelectron spectroscopy of such radical anions as a function of photon frequency, photoejection angle with respect to the light polarisation, and as a function of time; provides a wealth of insight into the dynamics of the resonances. We show this for a range para-benzoquinone derivatives and clusters. The photoelectron spectra show clear signature for internal conversion dynamics in the continuum leading ultimately to the formation of the ground state anion. The efficiency of internal conversion depends sensitively on the specific substituents on the quinone. Radical anion π-stacked dimers and trimers show similar dynamics and additionally reveal vibrational autodetachment that arises from the intermolecular excitation within the clusters.<br/>
