In this study, ethylene oxide (EO) was produced from ethane via one-step reaction over core-shell catalysts at different temperatures. The synthesized catalysts consisted of two layers of Cu-Ag on SrTiO3 as a core and Nb-Ni-O as a shell. The synthesized core-shell catalysts were compared with bimetallic catalysts, which are Cu-Ag and Nb-Ag on SrTiO3. The prepared catalysts were characterized by several techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), O2 and ethane-temperature programmed desorption (O2-TPD, C2H6-TPD), temperature programmed oxidation (TPO), X-ray photoelectron microscopy (XPS), a BET surface area analyzer.
