Every year the Fresno State CHEM Club takes stock in what it has done successfully by and for the students. The 2014-2015 year proved to be a pivotal turning point to further the introspection by updating and redefining the purpose of the student chapter with its traditions. The club sought to be more collaborative in all its events, with inputs from other student organizations, the ACS local section and the general community. Fresno State CHEM Club also brought a larger presence and importance of social media outlets as a way to engage its members and those interested in club activities, particularly targeting the demographics of the university at large. Through the various social and professional events held last year, the Fresno State CHEM Club has not only made a larger impact on its community but has brought national recognition to the area via its participation in the American Chemical Society national events like National Chemistry Week.
