All cellulose composite (ACC) is a material where both matrix and reinforcement fibers are cellulosic materials. In ACC, a common problem related to fiber-plastic-composite is overcome, namely the poor compatibility of two different phases. Several studies about ACC materials have shown promising mechanical properties. However, ACC is typically made by using toxic solvents like zinc chloride. In this work, ACC are made from nanocellulose networks by using green solvents such as NMMO, ionic liquid and phosphoric acid. The aim is to study if cellulose nanopaper properties can be improved by the partial dissolution of cellulose.
