This study investigates the temperature dependence of dipolar couplings in amides. At lower temperatures these amides display two discrete N substituents signals; at higher temperatures these two signals average together. The effects of temperature and the resulting conformational averaging are investigated in the context of how they affect the use of dipolar couplings in structural determination.
