The goal of this project is to determine the biological activity of heterocyclic imine compounds synthesized in a novel, green microwave synthesis from 1,2-napthaquinone and 1,4-napthoquinone reactants. Biological activity of the compounds was evaluated by testing the compounds on various cancer cell lines. Western blots and caspase assays as well as other techniques were used in evaluating the mechanism of action of these novel compounds.
