Several bis-bi-dentate ligands were produced starting with 2,6-diaminotoluene or structurally similar diamines.  In each case, the diamines were reacted with aldehydes functionalized at the ortho position, resulting in molecules that possess two “pockets” each with two Lewis base atoms, or were reacted with long chain aldehydes, resulting in novel materials that are liquids at room temperature.  The results, characterization of the target compounds, and potential uses will be presented. <br/>
