A series of 2-acetyl-5-methylthiazole thiosemicarbazone (AMTZ-TSC) compounds have been synthesized. After the synthesis process, the compounds were characterized by <sup>1</sup>H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectrometry. We have determined that these thiosemicarbazone compounds ligate to palladium (II) forming metal complexes with the formula [Pd(AMTZ-TSC) Cl]. These Pd (II) metal complexes have been shown to be active inhibitors in the growth of microbes.
