CO2 and CH4 present in biogas can be directly converted into syngas (H2+CO) through bi-reforming, i.e., CH4 reforming in the presence of CO2 and steam. The presence of steam mitigates the carbon deposition that is a significant problem with dry reforming (CH4 + CO2). This study is a continuation of experimental and simulation work conducted on dry and bi-reforming reactions over a Pd-Rh based metal foam catalyst [1, 2]. The experimental data show that a Pd:Rh ratio of 7:1 is found to be optimum for bi-reforming reactions based on conversion and process thermal efficiency [1]. The addition of CeZrO2 as a support material along with Al2O3 showed that CeZrO2 addition improved the methane conversion, CO2 reduction and coke deposition reduction [2]. Based on the initial results, it is apparent that the CeZrO2 /Al2O3 ratio of the support material is likely to have a significant effect on the process conversion efficiency and product selectivity. This study will discuss the bi-reforming reaction conducted over metal foam supported catalysts where the CeZrO2 /Al2O3 ratio varies from 25% to 75%. References: 1. P.S. Roy, A.S.K. Raju, K.
