A course entitled, “Leaders in the History of Alchemy” has been developed and implemented which focuses on  historical leaders as well as scientific discoveries of several well-known chemists. The course was taught entirely on-line. Topics in the course included the history of alchemy from prehistoric times-18th century; non-traditional inventions; as well as to read and interpret several books on alchemy and scientific discoveries. The course used a mixture of virtual lectures, reading assignments, and media assignments. Pre and post assessment was performed which provided insightful feedback for the course. The course was designed for a general science student but could easily be adaptable as a chemistry elective course.<br/>
