In this presentation we will share the results of students’ doing a simulation on stoichiometry in organic chemistry. The study was conducted in the first semester of organic chemistry, wherein students apply principles of general chemistry for performing calculations related to organic synthesis. The simulation activity was offered as a regular course component in the holiday week where student took a pre-lab quiz, did simulation and then took-post lab quiz. Students then wrote a lab-report following a set of open-ended questions designed for this lab.  In addition students were also given a survey to share their experience on the use of simulation and they wrote a laboratory report on the dry lab activity focused on stoichiometry. Preliminary findings of this study indicate that student understanding of stoichiometry improved from pre to post quiz. In addition to quantitative findings, this presentation will also highlight some qualitative aspects of students use of simulation and their response to dry lab activity.<br/>
