Present work deals with complete degradation of naphthyl azo anionic dye i.e. fast sulphon black- F (FSB) with the help of fenton and fenton like reaction, about 99% degradation occurs. Kinetic study has been carried out in UV-Vis spectrophotometer at fixed wavelength of 590 nm for the degradation of FSB at 4 pH. Fenton reagent (H2O2:Fe(II)/Fe(III)) in present study is 1:0.3mM at room temperature for the optimum degradation. We also synthesized iron-oxide nano-particles, which is further characterized by XRD and SEM analysis result, and then applied for the degradation process and observed that degradation process is slower than FeSO4.7H2O catalyzed process. Simultaneously we also determine the chemical oxygen demand (COD), total dissolved solid (TDS), pH, salinity and turbidity etc. of colored industrial waste water (from plastic industry, Raipur, C.G.) and its degradation was determine by Jar test method.
