As a chemist, you know that there are many different types of careers open to you if you want to work in a laboratory.  However, a chemistry degree also opens up a wide range of other career options. In fact, only about a third of chemistry graduates get a job working in a laboratory. Studying chemistry provides you with a whole range of useful skills that are highly valued by employers in many job areas.  As part of your training in chemistry, you’ve learned to understand and use many of the computer software packages.  You have stronger than ordinary numeracy skills and you've practiced how to problem-solve. All these skills can be used effectively in many jobs, from sales to management to finance and marketing, through to IT itself.  Your skills are also applicable in publishing, education and training.<br/>What sets you apart from other seekers is that you have that strong background of scientific and technical knowledge.  While that may not be sufficient for some occupational options, you can quickly and fairly easily train for these other occupations.<br/>We will explore some of these available options, and how to prepare for them.<br/>
