Metal organic frameworks (MOFs), as a new class of organic-inorganic hybrid porous materials,have attracted considerable attention due to their versatile potential applications in various areas, such as gas storage/separation,chemical sensing, luminescence,and drug delivery.Especially, the ability to impart specific functional ligands and clusters in framework while allowing the access of substrates to the active center in the highly porous structur<b>e</b> makes these compounds very attractive for catalysis. Theoretically, reactant molecules will be adsorbed and pre-concentrated, thereby boosting catalytic reaction rates. Metalloporphyrins, a classical example of N<sub>4</sub> macrocyclic compounds, are known for the catalytic activities in oxygen storage, electron transportation, for example. A porphyrinic MOF was designed and synthesized, which demonstrates capability for the onepot condensation reation. With the aid of porstsynthetic metathesis method, the catalytic reactivie for this MOF significantly increased.
