Hedgehog particles contain microscale particles as a core and metal oxide nanowires.  Besides abilitie to disperse in both aqueous and organic media and defy "like disolves like" rule, recent studies demostrated that they display unusual optical properties.  The scattering and other data including SERS will be presented and discussed.
