This talk will focus on new chemical forms of nucleic acids and nucleic-acid nanoparticle conjugates as gene regulation and immunotherapy agents. In particular, spherical nucleic acids (SNAs) are showing extraordinary promise as topical agents for regulating genes in the skin and eye. In addition, because of their structure-dependent binding and cellular uptake properties, they are exceedingly potent as sequence-specific TLR stimulating or suppressing agents. In this context, their emerging role as components of cancer vaccines will be discussed.<br/>
