GRITS(Girls Raised in Tennessee Science) was introduced more than 20 years ago by the Grit Grinder, Dr. Judith Iriate-Gross. GRIT is something that all women need to survive especially in the chemical science field. Dr. Gross's untiring efforts have inspired hundreds of volunteers to join together to make GRITS out of thousands of girls in Tennessee. Come and hear the story of a GRIT Ambassador. You will also learn how the chemistry of grits led us to the name GRITS. Free grits will be given to all participants who accept the GRIT Grinder Challenge.
