In the last decade, there has been a large growth in portable, affordable, and customizable technologies.  This includes the increase of smartphones and their available applications, 3D printing, and microprocessors such as the Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBone. The mixture of these technologies has allowed users to design and create projects that vary from a plant that can tweet you when it needs watered to an automated bartender that mixes your favorite beverage.  This presentation focuses on the incorporation of various technologies into the chemistry curriculum at Elmira College. Examples include using barcoded videos to help students with instrumentation, using Arduino’s in the Instrumental Analysis course and development of a 3D printed reaction chamber for use in the organic chemistry laboratory. The presentation will focus on the technology used, what class it was used in and student assessment/feedback.  <br/>
