The Stahl research group has had a longstanding interest in catalytic oxidation reactions capable of using O<sub>2</sub> as the oxidant, and in recent years has begun pursuing opportunities in electrochemical oxidation methods. This talk will highlight some of these efforts, drawing upon selected examples of collaborations with researchers at various pharmaceutical companies, among which include Eli Lilly, Merck, AbbVie, Pfizer, Amgen, Genentech, as well as the Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable. In each case, the Academic-Industry collaborations leveraged intellectual expertise, perspectives and/or resources at the partner institutions to maximize the impact and utility of the outcomes.
