In recent years palladium based thiolate and amine complexes have been explored towards wide ranging applications such as catalysis, racemic separation, and biological systems. Metal-directed self-assembly has been employed for the synthesis of well-defined coordination cages from resorcinarene based ligands. In this presentation, we will report the synthesis and palladium complexation of resorcinarene thiol and amine surfactants. Additionally, the influence of the thiol reactivity will also be discussed.
