This research describes an investigation of the impact of case-based instruction on the students’ conceptual understanding and their attitudes towards the course in a biochemistry course for dietetics majors. The case studies were developed by the researchers based on several popular diets. Fifty-five students from the biochemistry course participated in this study. The course was taught using traditional lecture and case studies. Participants completed pre-tests, posttests, and a survey to assess their conceptual understanding and engagement. Results and future direction will be presented.<br/>
