Conjugated organic molecules have been the subjects of continuous interest in organic electronics. Synthetic efforts aimed at <i>p</i>-conjugated systems having well-defined architectures are indeed driven by the desire to impart specific optical and electrical properties to materials by controlling their molecular structure. Crafting the structure and function of organic materials using the strategies of self-assembly and supramolecular chemistry has progressed over the past two decades in materials chemistry. A variety of systems have been engineered where function is directly linked to non-covalent interactions, such as ionic, hydrophobic, van der Waals, hydrogen, and coordination bonds. They also influence solid-state self-organization to produce an organized structure at any scale, ranging from the nano and micrometer scales to microscopic dimensions.<br/>Here, we describe a series of novel molecular systems derived from planar, polycyclic aromatic moieties of anthracene and pyrene with the different aromatic spacer groups of ester and halide functionalities. These novel systems were synthesized through esterification and C-C coupling reactions. All the molecular systems were fully characterized from proton and carbon NMR, FT-IR, elemental analysis and either powder or single crustal XRD. A successive solvent aggregation method followed by UV cross-linking was applied to make supramolecular assemblies with core-shell architecture in aqueous phase. The optical, electrical and thin film morphologies will be characterized towards for fabricate organic solar cells.  <br/>
