Gene therapy has enormous potential for treating diseases not only by correcting the defective genes but also by delivering the genes to express the desired proteins in vivo. <br/>The manufacturing process for the vectors used for gene therapy needs to be cost effective, regulatory friendly, scalable, and  reproducible. This talk will review the state-of-the art technologies and present the challenges in developing and implementing such processes in GMP environment
