We have recently discovered that pincer complexes of iridium can act as catalysts for dehydrogenative borylation of C-H bonds in arenes and alkynes.  The nature of the catalysts capable of borylating C(sp<sup>2</sup>)-H and C(sp)-H bonds are quite different.  Thsi presentation will discuss some new insight into the mechanisms of these transformation, as well as present exploratioin of catalyst scope and of the types of pincer ligands supportive of C-H borylation reactions.
