Due to the prevalence of aromatic chlorides in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and advanced materials, the development of atom-economical, electrophilic chlorination of arenes remains a valuable goal in the synthesis of fine chemicals. In an effort to utilize a <i>N</i>-centered radical approach to address the challenge of chlorinating deactivated (electron-deficient) arenes under non-acidic conditions, new conditions for chlorination have been discovered. In the present study, a variety of photoredox catalysts are employed under operationally simple conditions in conjunction with atom-economical chlorinating agents. Our progress towards the efficiency, scope, and regioselectivity of the reaction will be presented.   <br/>
