Despite numerous challenges, the interest in durable and wearable sensors is growing. Having inherited the common problems in sensors such as selectivity, sensitivity and stability, from its outset the field of wearable sensors faced unparalleled problems and new opportunities to address the needs to make sensors stable and suitable for wearing and care. It is the right strategy to develop a flexible platform for wearable sensors that can be integrated with various garments or medical devices. In this presentation, we share our strategy to build the basic architecture of flexible wearable sensors using nanocellulose. It is worth remembering that nanocellulose is a nano-size material with very high specific area (up to 1000 square meters a gram), high mechanical characteristics, and biocompatible properties. Nanocellulose possesses good combination of properties that are beneficial for wearable devices including sensors.  In this work we aim in seizing transformative opportunities for the wearable sensor platform based on the integration of nanocellulose with textiles and other functional particulates and molecules.<br/>
