Polynuclear copper(II) clusters have been received great attention due to their interesting structural features, magnetic properties and catalytic functions. In our effort to synthesize biologically related copper complexes, three copper(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography showed the mononuclear, dinuclear and tetranuclear core structures of the complexes. The compounds were characterized by IR, UV-vis and EPR. Electrochemical behavior and magnetic properties were also investigated.
