Nucleophilic trifluoromethylsulfenylations were performed by means of Me4NSCF3 for the synthesis of β-SCF3 α-amino acids and β-SCF3 amines by ring-opening of cyclic sulfamidates. The corresponding β-SCF3 α-amino acids could be incorporated into di- and tripeptides.
