Three commercial solid phase extraction products were compared for the sample preparation of coconut and sunflower oils. Concentrations of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in coconut and sunflower oils were measured by gas chromatography with SIM mode isotope dilution mass spectrometry.  The chosen extraction method was used to evaluate methods for the purification of the oils.<br/>
