Most of our classrooms are filled with networked learners (also called digital natives). Although most of these students are comfortable in the online environment, fewer are proficient learners in that environment. In collaboration with e-learning experts and chemistry colleagues, our group creates online learning modules that guide and support student learning in chemistry, while also scaffolding their metacognitive learning (knowing what they know and monitoring and controlling their learning processes). OrgChem101.com currently hosts three learning modules: nomenclature, symbolism of mechanisms, and organic acid–base chemistry. In this presentation, I will discuss those modules, how they are integrated in a flipped class environment, and the research we conduct to explore student learning and experiences using these modules.<sup>1,2</sup><br/>
