The Paris Agreement is the first global commitment to food security. This study examines the States advocating for food security and agricultural change at the COP22 UN Climate Conference in Marrakesh, Morocco. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is a driving force in keeping this topic at the forefront of discussions. This paper assesses how successful the FAO's communication is through surveying and interviewing attendees at COP22 on their awareness of food insecurity caused by climate change. Google search trends were also collected leading up to, during, and after the COP22 to compare different nations’ internet interest in sustainable food and related terms. Results are expressed via ArcGIS and graphic representations of awareness around food security, perceived vulnerable populations, and nations with a public, vested interest in sustainable agriculture and sustainable food systems.<b> </b>
