Diaziridines are a class of three-membered ring heterocycles that contain one carbon and two nitrogen atoms.  They are useful intermediates in the synthesis of more complex heterocyclic compounds.  Although reports on the synthesis and chemistry of 1,2-diaroyldiaziridines have appeared in the Literature, there are still no reports on their 2-sulfobenzoyl or dibenzenesulfonyl derivatives.  We have been attempting to synthesize some of these compounds in order to study their chemical reactivity, so that we may compare the results to the chemistry of the known 1,2-diaroyldiaziridine analogues.  Progress of these efforts are the subject of this poster presentation.
