Incorporation of a flipped classroom and active learning techniques has been shown to improve student success in undergraduate chemistry courses. On the basis of low student success rates, we have entirely reimagined our general chemistry classroom.  Content delivery is achieved using locally produced videos, allowing students to view course material on their own time.  Class time incorporates more active learning techniques including the use of the UMKC model of Supplemental Instruction both inside and outside the classroom.  “Near Peer” undergraduates facilitate class activities.  Our focus is to ensure student success for “At Risk” students whom generally consist of a significant portion of our student body at a rural state university with a relatively low selectivity.  Initial results suggest the project is reducing the non-repeatable grade rate by 33%.<br/>
