Correlia Biosystems seeks to become the global market leader in next-generation quantitative proteomic testing and data generation. While novel genomic tools have provided new research pathways over the last decade, scientists and clinicians are now emphasizing the importance of proteomic data sets to compliment genomics for more actionable outcomes. Current protein assays are slow, laborious, and rely on manual expertise or cumbersome automation platforms. A major limitation in protein assay performance is the slow diffusion-limited transport of molecules within a bulk solution. Correlia’s “SimpleScan” platform provides an innovative solution to this 60-year old problem by introducing a pseudo homogenous assay that eliminates diffusive transport limitations while significantly enhancing assay efficiency. The SimpleScan requires only micro-volume samples (2μl ), and employs electrokinetic loading - with protein capture occurring within a proprietary 3D gel substrate. Our technology performs multiplexed assays in 10-15 minutes, as opposed to 3-6 hours for traditional surface-based methods (ELISA, Luminex, etc.). The SimpleScan assay works like a standard immunoassay – but with completely electrophoretic transport of all samples and reagents—to accelerate assay speed and automate numerous, complex steps onto a small, low-cost platform. Low microvolume sample requirements open up new research capabilities for precious or volume-limited biosamples. This scalable and fully automated technology provides simplicity and reliability not only for research use, but also towards unmet needs in quantitative rapid diagnostic tests.  Our first product is a research-use instrument for quantifying proteins (e.g. cytokines, antibodies) for biopharma and life science R&D (a $1.4B market). After validation of the platform in research, Correlia Bio will introduce diagnostic platforms for clinical and point of care applications. <br/>
