The cannabis industry has is estimated to be worth nearly $3 billion dollars in 2016, and expected to more than double that by 2020.   However, maturing the industry from back alley trades to regulated markets presents a myriad of challenges, many of which require the expertise of trained chemists to alleviate.    Here we will discuss the understated demand for chemists in the manufacturing, research, and quality control roles that are still being established, and highlighting personal experiences in the industry.<br/>
