Organic semiconducting polymers have received significant attentions due to their potential use in many areas such as display backplanes, sensors and other active matrix devices. In the last decade, we have developed a series of world-class organic semiconducting polymers containing repeat Beta, Beta′-alkyl fused thiophene units, to improve the low temperature solution processability. Here we report the synthesis of copolymers of Beta,Beta′- branched alkyl 4-fused thiophenes (FT4) with branched alkyl diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) by reacting di-tin monomers of Beta,Beta′- branched alkyl FT4 with di-bromo monomers of branched alkyl DPP. Due to their good solubility, high molecular weight copolymers were obtained as indicated by GPC data. In this poster presentation we also present the experimental details to synthesize these two monomers through multistep synthesis.<br/>
