In recent years, the rising demand for cannabidiol products has taken CBD from a chemical afterthought to a multi-million dollar industry. Howeve, a regulatory framework for cannabidiol products has yet to be clearly established. Here we will show how the FDA guidelines for manufacturing nutritional supplements can lay the appropriate groundwork for the CBD industry by setting requirements for good manufacturing practices through quality control testing and systems for quality assurance.
