Starting from <i>N</i>-Boc-pyrroles, the asymmetric cyclopropanation to <b>1</b> is achieved in good yield and high enantioselectivity on a multigram scale. Catalytic strategies will be presented that allow the selective opening of the cyclopropane ring at each of the three cyclopropane bonds, giving rise to enantiopure pyrrolidines and piperidines.
