In this study, a UV-curable coating formulation was prepared by using 2,4-toluene diisocyanate (TDI) - 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) adduct and PVB. Montmorillonite (MMT) in various percentages was used as nanofiller. The MMT added coating formulations were applied on cotton fabrics by dip coating technique and then cured by UV-light. The obtained clay-cotton nanocomposites were characterized by FTIR spectroscopy. TGA was used to investigate the thermal properties of the cotton fabrics. The coating quality of the formulations on the fabric surface was observed by light microscopy. A well-dispersed, homogeneous coating layer was observed in 5 % MMT containing sample. Crease recovery angle test was employed to search the wrinkle resistance properties of fabrics after coating. TGA results showed that the presence of MMT clay on the cotton fabric surface increases the char yield about four times greater than untreated cotton fabric. The results showed that wrinkle resistance was improved till 5 % MMT addition. Thermogravimetric data showed the highest char yield with 12.6 % was observed in 5 % MMT clay included sample. MMT addition to the coating formulation gives a flame resist property to the cotton fabrics
