The installation of fully and partially fluorinated alkyl groups onto aromatic units can create novel structures with potential pharmaceutical and agrochemical applications. We have developed a series of reactions of aryl halides with perfluoroalkyl groups, partially fluorinated alkyl groups and fluorinated enolates. This presentation will include a survey of these reactions, as well as the isolation and characterization of fluoroalkyl copper and palladium complexes that are intermediates in these reactions.<br/>
